MyPoint members sign up to enjoy the benefits of sharing their opinions through surveys or other activities and earning gratuity points that can be redeemed for real rewards (not the promise of one). In doing these surveys and activities, the MyPoint community becomes a fun way to learn about new products and services, and to help influence their development.
You are eligible to join MyPoint if you reside in South Africa and are 18 years of age or older. View our Terms and Conditions.
MyPoint does not charge a fee for you to join the community. Membership is free, and MyPoint will never charge you to participate in surveys or activities.
To become a member of MyPoint, you need to complete the short registration form. You will be sent an account activation email, and once activated you will receive your unique login details to start exploring and earning Gratuity Points.
MyPoint will reward you for sharing your opinions and views via surveys. You will also get rewarded for completing small tasks that may form part of your daily activities – for instance, we might ask you to take a photograph of the shopping centre you shop at so that we can get a better idea of your area. As part of this community, you’ll be invited to participate in a variety of different activities from online surveys, to discussions, to activities in your area, to interactions on Facebook and a lot of other fun activities.
The best part for you is that every time you take part in any activity, you will get awarded Gratuity Points that can be redeemed for all types of rewards – all of which can be selected from our huge range of gifts.
You even get rewarded Gratuity Points for logging in every day as well as referring a friend.
The profile surveys are available on the Surveys page of your account. Keeping these profile surveys up-to-date will increase your chances of receiving more survey and activity invitations that are relevant to your lifestyle and interests. The more invitations you receive, the more Gratuity Points you earn.
Once you have accumulated a minimum of 2000 Gratuity Points you are welcome to redeem them for any reward that will be in the Reward Centre. You will notice that these Gratuity Points will clock up very quickly allowing you to be rewarded sooner rather than later.
At MyPoint, we want our community to be around for a long time to enjoy mutual benefits, therefore this security measure allows us to disable those who just wanted to join for a quick redemption.

There are several reasons why a member can be disabled from the MyPoint community:

  • Account cancellation - You requested us to cancel your MyPoint account. If you would like to reactivate your account please contact us.
  • User Agreement violation - If we feel that you violated our Terms & Conditions, we will disable your account. For further details, please refer to our Terms and Conditions
You should make it a habit to login to your account daily, not only will you receive Gratuity Points for logging in but also to check what Surveys and Activities have become available to you. Otherwise, invitations are sent via your preferred method of communication, and the activity should be done within 48 hours as it will be likely that the quota sample will be filled very quickly, thus closing the Survey.
You will be rewarded for every survey you take and rewards will differ according to the time it takes to complete a Survey.
Each invitation will tell you how many Gratuity Points you will earn for completing that particular activity.

You can only earn Gratuity Points once per survey so if you take part in a survey more than once you will not earn Gratuity Points the second time that you take part.
Completing and keeping your Profile Surveys up-to-date will qualify you to participate in more market research surveys and activities that are relevant to your lifestyle and interests. You may access these profile surveys by logging into your account. The status of each profile survey is displayed along with the date of the last update.
We do our best to ensure that if you tell us your age, for example, we won't ask you for the same information again. But sometimes it is unavoidable, and we ask for your understanding when this does occur. It can happen, for example, when you participate in a survey along with other respondents whose information is not known. To ensure consistency among responses, market researchers will sometimes ask everyone for basic information on age, gender or location (including you). We know that being asked for duplicate information can be a bit frustrating, and we try our best to reduce the need for it.
Our survey invites may not be making it into your Inbox. Your email provider may be flagging our emails as SPAM and moving them to your junk folder. To ensure that you receive all of our survey invitation emails, please add info@mypoint.co.za to your list of trusted senders, address book or contact list. Otherwise, keep logging into the system on a daily basis to check what has become available.

If you are having problems accessing a survey, it may be due to one of the following reasons:

  1. Technical: Please ensure the following technical requirements are met:
    • You are using a recent version of a popular browser, for example Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Chrome and Opera
    • JavaScript is enabled
    • Cookies are enabled
    • Some surveys require the Adobe Flash Player
  2. Survey was temporarily unavailable. Please wait a while and return to the link and reattempt to complete the survey.

If none of these reasons helped you, or if the problem persists, please contact us and provide the following information for further assistance:

  • Email used when registering for your MyPoint account.
  • The survey invitation link or the survey number in question
Market researchers are often looking for the opinions of a very specific group of people - for example, users of a particular brand of soap. If you don't meet the qualifications for a survey you might be "screened out" or get a message that says you're "not qualified" to complete the survey. Don't take it personally! Screen-outs are a normal part of the market research process. The more we get to know you, the better we'll be able to send you surveys that you DO qualify for. And we'll still reward you even if you "screen out."
Gratuity Points are the primary incentive for MyPoint members. Gratuity Points are awarded upon the completion of a survey and/or activity as well as logging in every day and referring a friend. These Gratuity Points can be redeemed for rewards.
Gratuity Points expire 24 months from the date of award if not redeemed – OR upon three (3) months if we have sent you three invitations to take part in a survey during the three months and you have not taken part in any of the surveys.

  • Fill in their contact details
  • Click send

You will be rewarded Gratuity Points when they accept your invitation
